Meet the owner

My name is Alex Freer, and I founded Arbor Hill Landscaping in 2014. As an owner-operator company, I take on fewer projects than larger firms, allowing me to provide a more personalized and hands-on service. What began as a lawn maintenance business has since grown into a company that specializes in designing and building custom outdoor living spaces. The projects I create are more than just landscapes—they’re areas where clients can make lasting memories with family and friends. The satisfaction of crafting these unique environments is far more fulfilling than lawn maintenance alone, and I’m truly fortunate to focus on this passion.

When I’m not working on-site or designing, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and two sons. As an avid climber, my adventures have brought me to beautiful natural landscapes, which inspire me to incorporate native plants into my designs as much as possible. Climbing has not only deepened my appreciation for nature but has also helped shape my approach to creating sustainable, harmonious outdoor spaces.
